Canada style trade deal, red diesel, peat for gardening

Farming Today

What would a Canada style trade deal mean for UK agriculture? We hear how the EU and UK are setting out their demands in the first stages of negotiation. An undercover investigation reveals some motorists are illegally using red diesel which is only allowed for off road vehicles, in order to get cheap fuel. All this week we are exploring the future for peat bogs. They can be a valuable carbon store when in good condition, but when dry and depleted they can also contribute to carbon emissions. Some gardeners and commercial growers still use peat, despite the government making a commitment to cut back its use. Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Beatrice Fenton
