How can UK farming reach Net Zero?

Farming Today

The environment and climate change have never been higher up the farming agenda. The National Farmers Union has set a target to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions across the whole of agriculture in England and Wales by 2040. That's in addition to the UK Government's target to reach Net Zero by 2050...and an ambition in Scotland to reach the goal by 2045. So how realistic are those targets for farming, how much of a challenge will be be for farmers to meet them, and how is UK agriculture taking practical steps towards NET ZERO? Caz Graham is joined in the studio by an expert panel to try and answer those questions: -Martin Lines, UK Chair of the Nature Friendly Farming Network -Professor Myles Allen, Leader of the Climate Research Programme at Oxford University's Environmental Change Institute -Edward Hanrahan, Chairman at Climate Care, which is a company that facilitates carbon offsetting Presented by Caz Graham Produced by Heather Simons
