Future of Agriculture

Future Of Agriculture 001: Introduction to the Show

Future of Agriculture

Why did we create the "Future of Agriculture" Podcast?

In this episode, Tim explains that the next 30 years are likely going to be one of the most crucial times ever for agriculture and agribusiness.

Population growth, limited resources, and variable consumer preferences create challenges and opportunities for all of those who work in the ag industry.

These issues affect everyone along the value chain from farm to fork. Tim lists a few of the over 300 careers that exist in the agriculture industry.

The concept of this show came from feedback from the original AgGrad Podcast. Based on that feedback, we realized 1) listeners wanted to hear more about issues and ideas, 2) listeners were most interested in talking about the future, and 3) it was hard to find the AgGrad podcast while searching podcast players for topics such as "agriculture" and "agribusiness. For those reasons, we decided to re-brand and launch this podcast.

Some of the coming episodes are brand new original content about topics ranging from cellulosic ethanol to organic animal feed to superpests. Others will be re-purposed (but still relevant) from the original AgGrad show.
