Farming Today

The biggest shake up of farming in a generation starts next year once we replace the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy with a new system. It’ll be phased in over seven or more years and as agriculture is devolved it’ll be different in the four home nations. We ask how it will work and what farmers make of it. We hear an update from a farmer in Stirlingshire by Finnich Glen, an area made famous by the TV show Outlander. The site has been inundated with visitors who he feels are damaging the land because there is no where to park and no visitor facilities. He hoped to develop a Β£2.7 million visitor centre and car park but the planners say that will ruin the site. Presented by Charlotte Smith and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
