The School of Greatness

Vulnerability is Power

The School of Greatness

Welcome to the 200th Episode!  I can barely believe The School of Greatness has reached this milestone. I am BEYOND grateful and humbled to have hosted these episodes and brought them to you. THANK YOU! When I started the podcast in January 2013, there's no way I could have known where it would go or the effect it would have on my life (not to mention all of the amazing listeners' lives). I spent a minute reflecting on what I've learned so far from all the interviews I've done, and all the stories I've heard from you listeners, and one thing in particular stood out in my mind. Vulnerability - really opening up ourselves to share our inner thoughts, dreams, struggles, and desires - is what creates powerful relationships, businesses, movements, and breakthroughs. Brene Brown said “Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” This has proven absolutely true in my life and I know it can in yours as well. I'm sharing a few thoughts on this for this special 5 Minute Friday, Episode 200 of the School of Greatness podcast!
