Rural payments, WWII bunker on farm, Heritage apples, Sheep shearing

Farming Today

We hear this morning how farmers are being hit with Rural Payment debt notices and they've only been given 10 to 15 days to pay up. We're also on a mission to find out why one Wiltshire farmer has been fined over a top secret Second Wold War bunker in his field. Sybil Ruscoe puts on her tin hat to investigate. Farming Today is on a summer tour looking at food and farming across the country. This week we're focussing on England and today we hear how heritage apples could help today's modern apple growers. We have a special report from an Oxfordshire orchard. And after presenter Charlotte Smith gave a sort of nasty Mohican haircut to a sheep in Sussex, we're in Scotland with some novice sheep shearers learning how to cut a woolly short back and sides! Presenter: Charlotte 'Shears' Smith Producer: Sybil 'Captain Mainwaring' Ruscoe.
