Access to land in Wales, Blackcurrants, London sheep

Farming Today

The Welsh government has plans to allow camping, games and other outdoor activities on open access land. John Davies from The National Farmers' Union Cymru explains why he thinks these proposals could undermine the efforts of farmers to maximise their income. Kate Ashbrook from the Open Spaces Society says farmers should stop scaremongering and embrace increased access to coast and countryside which could be of as much benefit to them as it could to those visiting Wales. Sheep are grazing Green Park in London for the first time since the 1930s and Gareth Barlow has been to found out why. In today's celebration of the British harvest Nancy Nicolson joins in the blackcurrant picking on Tayside, where the fruit is grown for Ribena. Presenter: Sybil Ruscoe Producer: Toby Field.
