The future of our heritage sheep breeds are set for a boost with the award of a new grant. Phil Stocker from the National Sheep Association explains why this money from the Prince's Countryside Fund is so important to keep breeds like the Welsh Mountain, Swaledale and Dalesbred alive, and why we should look again at the market for sheep meat consumption. Miscanthus is once again gaining prominence, this time as the building blocks of a house in Machynlleth. As rural congregation numbers fall, Reverend Michelle Bailey, the Church in Wales' Rural Officer for the diocese of Swansea and Brecon has been out to every single agricultural show in her area to help reach more people. A farmer on the Suffolk/Essex border has been diversifying into the so-called "superfood" of chia seeds, which are primarily grown in Central and South America.
