KiboCUBE Kick-Starts Satellites

KiboCUBE is an initiative that offers educational and research institutions from developing countries the opportunity to deploy cube satellites (CubeSats) from the Kibo module of the International Space Station (ISS). A New Zealand farmer and fisherman, Grant Muir, who has witnessed first-hand the impact that poor water quality had on his local stream has developed a solar-powered, portable water tester. Computer scientist Luc Steels has composed an opera based on the legend of Faust, with a twenty-first-century twist.
