Sam Dyer is the founder of Bitmap Books, a book publisher that specialises in making tomes that celebrate pixel art found in video games. Each volume has centred on a single format that allows the book to sing the praises of a specific system. Five volumes have so far been released that have covered the C64, Amiga, ZX Spectrum, NES and SNES respectively. All of these texts celebrate the creators of the games that the art found in the books are responsible for.
Show host Chris ORegan talks to Sam about how the books are developed and the first faltering steps of bringing them into being.
