Long-range weather forecasts, Cairngorms reindeer, Tax on second homes, Tewkesbury mustard

Farming Today

Researchers at the National Centre for Atmospheric Science at the University of Reading have found that the temperature of the sea surface could help predict a hot summer. Nancy Nicolson headed out to the Highlands of Scotland to meet Cairngorms reindeer herd owner, Tilly Smith. Members of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority have formally backed an initiative which would place a punitive level of council tax on second homes. The manufacture of Tewkesbury mustard balls died out in the town in the 19th century, but the cottage tradition has been recently resurrected. Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
