Ammonia emissions, Lamma show, 100 years of Ford tractors

Farming Today

Beef and dairy farmers in Northern Ireland are being warned they may have to adapt their businesses to address concerns about harmful emissions. Northern Ireland has the highest ammonia emissions in the UK. The Environment Agency says ammonia from livestock is having a significant impact on sensitive habitats, and some planning applications have been refused because of it. The second day of Lamma - the UK's largest agricultural machinery show - had to be cancelled because high winds led to safety concerns. Charlotte Smith talks to the show's finance director, an exhibitor, and some of the frustrated would-be visitors. And Ford tractors mark their 100th anniversary this year. Nancy Nicolson meets some of the enthusiasts still tinkering with the vintage models. Presented by Charlotte Smith and produced by Emma Campbell.
