There’s no worse place than rock bottom.

By definition, it’s the lowest point in your life. You lie on the floor of your office completely hopeless. But also by definition, rock bottom means that it will never get worse. There’s only one way to go from rock bottom, and that is up.

On today’s episode of The Tai Lopez Show, we are joined by Anik Singal, founder of e-learning company Lurn. Anik’s insights spread across many different domains of business: from picking yourself up out of rock bottom to making deals in the boardroom. In this interview, we hear Anik’s story about hitting rock bottom and how we must use honesty to rise from failure.

Points to Keep In Mind

  • You can tell who your real friends are in failure
  • Failure provokes introspection; take note of your answers to “Why?” during this time period
  • Be okay with failure but don’t be okay with ignorance
  • Don’t only learn from your own experience; listen to others’ mistakes to prevent them from entering your life
  • Don’t let ego get in the way of your methodology during times of success; do the risk analysis
  • Listen to your mentors
  • Study your past patterns/cycles to figure out what was behind times of success and failure
  • Refocus on the relationship on your customer
  • Being honest can double your click-through rates
