Ash dieback disease research, agronomists, the American bittern

Farming Today

A new study has found that the arrival of just one more ash dieback pathogen spore could wipe out Europe's remaining ash trees. This week we're hearing about all the different jobs connected to farming, and without which some farms couldn't operate. Today, it's the agronomist. The American bittern has arrived from across the pond and Carlton Marshes near Lowestoft where it's settled has become a bit of a traffic jam. The interest is such that's it's been deemed a 'mega-twitch'! Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
