Farming Today

As Donald Trump continues his UK visit Farming Today talks to a US trade negotiator about food standards, tariffs and the prospects for a future trade deal on agriculture between the two countries. Neil Parrish the chairman of the Environment Food and Rural Affairs Committee reports back to Anna about their inspection of the troubled 2 Sisters food processing plant. This week marks the end of the "simmer dim" in Shetland. It's a month-long period of all-night twilight, when the islands can enjoy up to 20 hours of sunlight a day, Farming Today hears how it's a major tourist draw. We conclude our week looking at rural housing by hearing the thoughts of the think tank - the Centre for Policy Research. Presented by Anna Hill Produced by Alun Beach.
