Red Tractor Trouble

Farming Today

The head of Red Tractor, the scheme that's meant to guarantee good welfare for livestock, defends its practice of warning farmers before they come to inspect. The National Farmers' Union is holding an emergency Drought Summit, bringing together bodies including DEFRA, The Environment Agency, Natural England and farming charities. We're featuring farmers who carry out 'on-farm production' in the programme all through this week. Today we visit Somerset dairy farmers making Italian-style gelato ice cream. Presented by Caz Graham and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
