Transcript: CORALINE:  Hello and welcome to Episode 97 of Greater Than Code. My name is Coraline Ada Ehmke. I'm here with Astrid Countee. ASTRID:  Thank you, Coraline and I'm also here with friend, John Sawers. JOHN:  Thank you, Astrid and I'm here to introduce our guest, Brandon Hays. Brandon left the world of marketing to find that creating software made him happy. Brandon lives in Austin, Texas where he leads teams and tries to help make the world of technology a more humane place. Welcome to show, Brandon. BRANDON:  Hi. Thank you so much. CORALINE:  Brandon? BRANDON:  Yes. CORALINE:  What is your superpower and how did you develop it? BRANDON:  This is going to sound a little too on the nose but I really do think that my superpower is helping other people discover their superpower. It is pretty much my favorite activity: sitting down with somebody and understanding what motivates them and what impact that they hope to have and what they care about and helping them combine that with attributes about themselves that are special. We don't always feel special but I think everybody knows there's something about them that special in that confluence of something about them that is either weaknesses that they've worked on so much that they become strengths or natural strengths that they've worked on that confluence of that. Their interests and their desired impact on the world and something that the world really needs is really fun to help people uncover. CORALINE:  You're like the Professor Xavier of the software development world.
