Chris Packham's wildlife manifesto, Badger cull in Cumbria, Pink straw

Farming Today

Anna Hill speaks to conservationist Chris Packham about his new wildlife manifesto and what it might mean for farming. The badger cull is being brought to Cumbria for the first time, as part of the government's strategy to halt bovine TB. Mark McAlindon has been to meet farmer Les Armstrong and David Harpley from Cumbria Wildlife Trust to get their reaction. For Farming Today's beef week Annabel Dry has been to meet up with Isabella Tree who with her husband runs Knepp Castle Estate and abandoning intensive beef farming in favour of an extensive grazing system. Anna's also been finding out why the straw in the East of England has been turning pink. Producer: Toby Field
