Farming Today

Brexit packaging, Growing and selling potato seeds, Wiltshire Care farm

Farming Today

Anna Hill hears why a no-deal Brexit could mean UK food producers face a double-whammy of tariffs on imported packaging and when they export the finished product. She speaks to a soft drinks producer, someone who makes vegan pizza who imports flour and tomatoes from Italy, and a dairy which makes yogurt using pots produced in Belgium and Germany. As part of a week looking at farms producing items you can't buy in the shops Anna's been to meet Tony Bambridge who cultivates potato seeds which are then sold to be grown. Rebecca Rooney's been to a Care Farm in Wiltshire that is helping bring some children out of their shell with lessons in animal husbandry and harvesting fruit and veg. Producer: Toby Field
