Feeding Lambs

Creating Space Project

Ronnie volunteers at the Baradine Country Women’s Association, helping out with the Drought Pantry.

In towns like Baradine, because of the drought, even places like the hairdresser's are struggling to survive. Who has money for a haircut when there's no money for the power bill?

Ronnie also helps her family keep going.

Her daughter's farm is losing up to 5 sheep and lambs a day. They are hand feeding the lambs. In the drought, the sheep are too weak to feed their lambs, so they walk away and leave them.

The 9 and 14 year old grandchildren are shearing sheep. The 3 year old is sweeping the shearing shed.

These are people who are unbelievably strong. There is so much to learn here about the bonds of family and the resilience that flows from supporting each other during incredibly difficult times.
