A new report out today from the Country Land and Business Association says that thousands of villages are missing out on new affordable homes because they aren't been correctly assessed by planning authorities. Anna Hill talks to the report's author, to find out why. We catch up with a volunteer group which re-homes laying hens which have come to the end of the commercially-productive lives. How do thirty volunteers manage to round up six thousand birds? We find out. All this week Farming Today will be looking at abattoirs.
