Rachel Harris specialises in Uyghur culture and religion and is based at SOAS. Jude Howell is an expert on authoritarianism and Professor of International Development at LSE. Rian Thum is a historian of Xinjiang based at the University of Nottingham. Hans Steinmuller is Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at LSE.
