New rules threaten farm visitor attractions, game shoots targeted by activists

Farming Today

After 40 years of opening to the public, this may be the last year for one Sussex Farm. Farmer Jenny Passmore may be forced to close her farm to the public because her local council has said she must get a licence to exhibit her animals, which comes at a cost. Game shoots are again being targeted by animal rights campaigners. Over Easter thousands of birds were released from pens at a hatchery in Suffolk. The Animal Liberation Front says it herded about 9,000 pheasants out of pens and into woodland. We hear reaction from the Countryside Alliance. Presented by Charlotte Smith and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
