Farming Today

A new project aims to involve anglers in looking out for signs of serious crime. The Angling Trust's 'Building Bridges' scheme works closely with migrant anglers from Central and Eastern European countries, and aims to provide a link with communities which might be vulnerable to people trafficking and modern slavery. Continuing a week-long look at how data is changing decision-making in farming, we hear from Professor Davy McCracken from Scotland's Rural College, who explains what impact the growing availability of data is having. As the new government settles in after last week's general election, we take a look at some of the lobbying demands already being made by farming unions and rural campaign groups. And we visit a Christmas tree farm in Leicestershire where customers can come and choose their tree while it's still growing. Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Emma Campbell.
