27/05/20 Solar farm in Kent, Asparagus picking is a family affair, Clotted cream from goat's milk
Plans for the countryβs largest solar farm in Kent will receive a decision on Thursday. The Cleve Hill project takes in 900 acres between Whitstable and Faversham on the North Kent coast. The site is adjacent to an important wetland wildlife reserve and has faced objections from conservation groups. Anna Hill speaks to Emily Marshall from Hive Energy about the project, and to Richard Knox-Johnston from the Campaign to Protect Rural England who oppose it.
No kidding - it's goat week on Farming Today, and Rachel Lovell has been speaking to James Holland and Jenny Venning at Wrixhill Farm in north Devon who are turning their goat milk in halloumi and clotted cream.
One Cornish asparagus grower says they're only harvesting a fraction of their crop this year because there arenβt enough places to sell it. And with so few pickers available to harvest the whole family has got involved.
Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Toby Field.
