05/01/21 Brexit trade deal, biomethane on farm

Farming Today

It’s the beginning of the first working week under our new trade deal with the EU. All this week we’ll be looking at farming, and fishing to see what the deal means for businesses across the industry. Today we speak to trade expert, Dmitry Grozoubinski, and the president of the National Farmers' Union President, Minette Batters. The NFU says securing a deal was a positive step, but it’s warned that future trade with the EU will not be completely frictionless and will add cost for farmers. And we continue our week-long look at farm-generated energy, with biomethane. Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
