11/02/21 Pigs getting too fat, religious slaughter, woodland crofts

Farming Today

British pigs are getting too fat, and that’s not a good thing. We’ll be hearing why a double whammy of Covid and Brexit delays is causing havoc for some pig farmers. The British Veterinary Association is urging the government to improve the regulation of non-stun slaughter, including clearer labelling for consumers. We hear how demand for crofts in Scotland is out-stripping supply, particularly for a new type of woodland croft. Presented by Caz Graham and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
