Farming Today

10/09/21 The Geronimo phenomenon, Limousin cattle, BBC Food and Farming Awards' Farming for the Future finalist

Farming Today

Tens of thousands of cattle are culled every year to stop the spread of bovine TB. Why so much fuss about one alpaca? We reflect on the Geronimo phenomenon. We’ve been exploring the ins and outs of livestock breeding all this week, and today we feature the prime beef breed, the Limousin. And we hear from the second of three finalists in our own Farming Today β€œFarming for the Future" category of this year's BBC Food and Farming Awards. We’ve been looking for farmers who are pushing the boundaries to make their business more sustainable. Presented by Caz Graham and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
