The EU is considering extending its ban on Neonicotinoids to include non-flowering crops which may pose a problem for Sugar Beet producers who are reliant on this controversial insecticide. Anna Hill speaks to Dr Mark Stevens from British Beet Research Organisation about how its been used to control aphids and what solutions might be developed as an alternative. Charlotte Smith speaks to Lorna Sidebottom about how her and her family are coping after the theft of seventy-one ewes and their lambs from their farm near Macclesfield.
