Sea Lice in Farmed Salmon, Post-Brexit Trade, Hedge Laying

Farming Today

New figures show farmed salmon in Scotland have unacceptably high levels of sea lice. The industry admits there is a problem, we ask them what they're going to do about it. All this week we're taking a closer look at trade post-Brexit through farmers and businesses who are planning ahead. We visit an East Yorkshire salad grower who's bucking the trend by exporting to Germany, against a tide of fresh produce coming the other way. He's now looking at relocating part of his business abroad. Hedge laying is a heritage craft and can also be a competitive past time. Marie Lennon has been to Stourhead for the National Hedge-laying Championships. Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
