Turkey labour, Fishing at Christmas, Gifts made on farm

Farming Today

The Association of Labour Providers says it's seeing the worst shortage in labour since 2004 - down by up to 70%. They blame Brexit - the devalued pound against the Euro, and a feeling amongst EU nationals that they're no longer welcome. The ALP says the result is a significant challenge to meet the peak in demand for the Christmas rush. One of the products affected could be the Christmas turkey as mainly foreign labour is used to prepare the bird. Nancy Nicolson has been to meet the Scottish fishermen preparing for their short Christmas break; and we continue our theme about gifts made on farm - today, a candle made from beeswax on a honey farm. Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Sally Challoner.
