Farming Today

Diversity in agriculture, wildflower farming, food waste initiative, young farmers

Farming Today

Michael Gove commits to supporting more diversity in agricultural and rural communities. We hear from one 'Agrespect' campaigner, Adriana Vaux. Farmers in Somerset are growing wildflowers on their farm instead of wheat to encourage biodiversity. A new plan to halt food waste has been launched. Food retailers, manufacturers and producers have signed up to a 'roadmap' drawn up by the Grocery research group IGD and the government funded waste group, WRAP. And Rebecca Rooney caught up with a few members of the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs over a pint in North Wiltshire. Presented By Anna Hill and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
