Is a labour shortage in the fields putting workers at risk? We hear why the pressure to pick flowers cheaply could be encouraging operators to take illegal shortcuts. The Government’s tree-planting target of 30,000 hectares planted every year by 2025 is now coming under scrutiny by the Environment Food and Rural Affairs select Committee. All week, we’re discussing beef. The bottom line is all important for any beef farmer, and that means improving productivity is a continual quest.
