Cod stocks in decline, Gove on shooting licenses, Gooseberries

Farming Today

Cod stocks in the North Sea have rapidly declined. Fishermen agree to cut their catches by just over 60%, but the question remains, why have the stocks fallen? We speak to the WWF and the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation. Parliament's Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee called Michael Gove in yesterday, to give evidence in their investigation into the saga of the withdrawal of wild bird shooting licences. Have we fallen out of love with gooseberries? They used to be a summer staple, but now you might struggle to find them on the supermarket shelves, and growers say they're nowhere near as popular as they once were. Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
