16/12/20 Welsh farming post-Brexit, rural health services suffering in pandemic, preparations for Christmas

Farming Today

The Welsh government reveals details of its plans for the future of farming post-Brexit. The Welsh Farming Minister, Lesley Griffiths, announces that the current farm subsidy scheme, which pays farmers for the land they farm, will continue until 2022. A new report finds that rural health services have suffered disproportionately during the pandemic, and that many trusts in rural areas will find it harder to recover, compared to those in urban areas. And we hear from another farm business preparing for a different kind of Christmas. Presented by Anna Hill and produced by Beatrice Fenton.
